From longtime Italian and pizza spots to halal Egyptian and Indian kitchens, Dominican and Honduran restaurants, Cajun, Greek, cafes and classic bar and grills, McGinley Square serves a taste of nearly every corner of the world in just a few blocks.
who we are
The McGinley Square Partnership serves as the designated District Management Corporation for the McGinley Square Special Improvement District (SID). We are a private nonprofit corporation governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees of local property owners, business owners, and community stakeholders, working every day to keep the neighborhood clean, safe, and vibrant.
Our team is on the ground across the district with services that go beyond what the City provides, including daily sidewalk sweeping, litter and trash removal, and power washing to keep storefronts, sidewalks, and public spaces looking their best. We also care for landscaping and plantings, decorate the square for the holidays, support public safety through supplemental policing, help local businesses grow with facade and signage grants and promotion, and bring the community together with events and the farmers market.

Our crew sweeps curb lines seven days a week and power washes sidewalks at 400 PSI to keep McGinley Square fresh. Free for every business and property owner in the district.

The Kiosk
Where Bergen Avenue meets Montgomery Street, the kiosk carries on a long McGinley Square tradition. In 1915, a waiting room for bus passengers known as the “comfort station” was built at this junction, then called Bergen Triangle or Montgomery Junction. It served riders for more than 50 years before closing in 1973. Today the kiosk is where neighbors meet up, where the holidays light up each winter, and the backdrop for the market and events that bring the plaza to life.

Holiday Window Painting Is Back
Local artists are bringing holiday cheer to storefront windows across McGinley Square this season. Businesses can sign up for a painted window, and artists can apply to paint.

The McGinley Square Partnership is offering a limited time 3:1 Matching Grant Program to help property owners and businesses invest in their storefronts. Eligible applicants may receive up to $5,000 in matching funds for approved facade improvement projects.
